One of my articles was put on aol.com this weekend. It was a total surprise and special to me. I just wanted to say hi and welcome to the new friends that came to read this weekend, I am getting to the emails and comments as fast as I can-thank you for all the love.
This weekend was road trip time. My sister and I loaded up our boys and headed out in her mini van. We didn’t bring any snacks, we don’t roll that way, that’s what Chick-fil-a and Starbucks are for. We had a birthday party on Saturday for our family friend Kylie (I did a photo shoot of her last month:)). So we decided to go up one day early and spend the night at our Granddaddy and Granny’s house, since they lived by Kylie. The boys all love it there, Granny cooks them yummy food and Granddaddy takes them around in a tractor-what’s not to love.
cooking the boys breakfast burritos before we headed out to Amanda’s (our a/c broke that’s why I’m outside-I will catch you up on that fiasco later)
at Auntie’s house waiting for the mama’s to pack the car so they could go
van of cutie cousins. As I was taking this photo, Trek’s absence was potent (major flashback), I have this exact picture of these 4 boys, with Trek in the baby car seat instead of baby Dawson, in Hawaii on one of our outings
Peyton, Conner, Preston, Jackson, and baby Trek hidden in his car seat
we made it to Granny’s! My brother and his family live nearby so more cousins were there to greet us:)
they all headed straight to the trampoline
me and my two Amanda’s hung out on the porch with the babies

to say I love this picture does not quite cover it-I LOVE it so much!
Braelynn, the only girl cousin out of 8 boys:)
Jackson taking advantage of the trampoline while the big kids were away
we found a persimmon tree!
I love persimmons and took a big bite of one, it was tasty but they were not quite ready

The morning of the party-it’s a rough job, but someone has to hold the baby while his mama gets ready
this is breakfast at Granny’s. My mom remembers her making breakfast like this every morning growing up!

elmo cupcakes and goody bags
and then I came home to this…
Ha! This is about the road trip, so I will stick to it. But behind the scenes were 2 little elves. Or should I say Tim the Toolman and Al Boreland, or maybe just 2 Tim’s. Anyways, Jarrett and my wonderful brother-in-law Chet had some guy time, and then built me some shelves in the RV. The shelves and other projects turned out amazing! The clean-up not so much. But like I said, road trip.
The road trip was amazing. I love my sister and her 3 boys so much, and can never get enough of them. Then seeing family and friends-it was just perfect and a wonderful way to spend the weekend with my boys.
