Oh Lord have mercy! Peyton named the RV-Adventure-and the RV does not seem to get the meaning, or he does and has a weird sense of adventure.
We got Adventure back from the shop at Tuesday right at 5pm. I put the furniture in and worked on it until I got too tired around 10pm. Then Wednesday I woke up early and took him to get new tires. That took a while because he is freakin huge. I picked it back up at 3 pm and had to just throw the rest of the stuff in because we needed to get on the road.
My dad offered to go with me, everyone was freaking out about me going by myself. Turns out, it was a good idea. We made it to Bennett, Colorado, about 1 hour from my parent’s house when all hell broke loose. Well, it wasn’t that bad really, just some clanging, so we turned around to get home to fix it, when it just died in the middle of the dark road.
We pulled over a little, called AAA, called the police, called my mom to get the boys. AAA is great but takes soooo long, the police pulled us out of the road and then got bored and left, my mom came and got the boys, and my dad and I chilled in the RV for 4 hours waiting for the tow guy.
I was able to finish unpacking the RV. I found I had 8 extra cabinets after all our stuff was in, so that was a spot of sunshine! My dad and I talked and waited and waited. Then we took a nap, then the guy came at 1am. He only had room for one of us in the cab, so we called my mom and she came and got me. My dad was gentlemanly and rode with the tow guy. We finally got Adventure back home at 3am.
It’s 10:30am right now, we all just got up. Hoping its an easy fix and we will try again! Wish us many, many lucks:)
