We have 24 hours left of our Kickstarter project to get Following After Trek into paperback! This has been an incredibly exciting 2 weeks. When we first thought of doing this I was very hesitant. I am still so sensitive and emotional over losing Trek, what if no one wanted Following After Trek in paperback or at all? That would have crushed me. I also worried that it would be a stressful 15 days of wonder and worry if we would meet our goal.
To say we were surprised is an understatement. We were blown out of the water by the over flow of support we have received. I get an email each time we get a backer and I have not deleted one of them. So as of right now I have 131 emails in my inbox from Kickstarter alerting me of each person that donated to our project. It makes me so happy to see them everytime I check my email.
Everytime we get a new backer Jarrett or I (whoever sees the email first) yells out in the house, We have another backer!!!! And we all jump up and down. Some names we recognize and some names are complete strangers, it is such a fun surprise to open each alert.
We have far exceeded our original goal of having 200 copies of Following After Trek printed, we can now have at least 500 printed! We cannot wait to see the ultimate total over the next 24 hours.
Thank you all so much for sharing and backing our project, it means more than you could ever imagine. It has given us so much hope and made us feel so loved during this hard time missing our Trek. If you can please over the next 24 hours share just one more time about our project so even more people can find out about Trek’s story we would be so thankful!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you and so much love from our family to yours!

I am so thrilled that the Kickstarter has been sooo successful. It’s an honor to be even a small part of this project. I cannot wait to get my hands on this new book. We have 4 kiddos and they LOVE reading The Three Brothers go to the Beach so I know this one will be incredible!

Congratulations! I’m not a risk taker and I hate “putting myself out there”. I’m so glad for your family, that you have put yourself out there and the response was so overwhelmingly awesome. Everyone who knows you and your story must be aching to read that book.
I know Robin! it was so scary and a moment for me, I am so thankful we did it, we feel so loved and empowered with Trek’s story, it is so special and I am excited for everyone to read it. sending you so much love, CHelsea

I am so excited to read the book, I know you both have worked countless hours and I know it will all pay off…love you so much!

I think that last picture is the most beautiful I have ever seen. When I finish reading my paperback copy of your book, I plan to donate it to the local English library here in Subotica, Serbia so that others may know Trek’s story. Take care, and be sure to update us all with a new address to where we can send postcards when you are able!
All the best,
Veronica Vecic & family
thank Veronica, it is my favorite family photo also. that is so sweet about donating our book, that makes me so happy that people all the way in Serbia will be reading Trek’s story.

It will be a treasure! What a great story to tell one day, when Jarrett is an acclaimed author of many best sellers, the time you had over 130 backers to get your first novel off the ground! We are so proud!
