Kickstarter update-You people are killing us!!! We have over $5000 and 118 backers so far-it is a ginormous understatement to say that we are overwhelmed with appreciation! We still can’t believe how all of this has come together, we feel so loved. only 51 hours to go!
We hand-fed wild monkey’s when we were in Chiang Rai last week. It is definately at the top of our list of the coolest things we have ever done.
When we get to a new place we always look at all of the tourist brochures of all of the fun things to do in the area. This gives us really good ideas and then we just go do them on our own since we usually have our own transportation. We had seen many signs about tours to go feed the monkeys, but we just asked our hotel where it was and showed up. It was at a Buddhist temple and all of the monkeys would come down out of the mountain to be fed by all of the tourists. It was freaking awesome!
when you gotta go you gotta go
I am such a boob, everything reminds me of Trek, especially this, I got teary eyed and kept feeding all the mamas and babies
pretty sure she is a nursing mama
some people were selling peanuts to feed the monkeys for 20 baht (about 80 cents)
I had so much fun watching the boys do this! Even though I was a little nervous too because there were signs everywhere tell you to watch your children because the monkeys might bite them. Also looking at this picture I see through fresh eyes my childrens’ clothing! hehe, they love their fire pants and every shirt in their closet matches them of course.
the babies were so cute they kept sneaking off to try to get some peanuts, but the mamas would always pull them back, they were so protective
we were told to bring a stick and I am glad we did, Jarrett had to shoo a few monkeys away that got aggressive with the boys
mama and Conner feeding a mama and baby monkey
monkeys as we were leaving to tell us good-bye-such a fun day!
