When I post on my blog I never feel comfortable talking directly to readers (besides when I thank you all over and over again for all of your support!) I try to keep it to just a record of our days, just like a journal. I am not sure exactly why, I always avoid using “you” or asking questions to the reader. I think the main reason is because my goal is to make a story of our life that we can one day look back on and read and talking to a “you” as in “have you been to Thailand before?” or “you all would love this waterfall” would make my grandchildren say, “grandma, who are you talking to?!”

Well I am talking to you now. I am asking you to be a part of our story that we read to our children. We have started a project. It took us over 1 week to complete it, we even made a movie.

We want to have Following After Trek printed in paperback.

We have launched a project on Kickstarter! Ahhhh!!! I am full of nervous excitement!!!

(we actually launched it yesterday and just told our immediate family so they could be the first backers, from just 3 of them posting on facebook we are already at 18% or our goal and had 12 shares on facebook!)

Kickstarter is not a charity or a donation. Actually you cannot be a non-profit, or a charity, or a fund-my-life project to do KickStarter. It is only for creative artists, inventors, and authors to get their projects out into the world. Our goal is to have 200 copies of Trek’s book printed into paperback, if we get more backing than our goal we can print even more! Some projects that have done well on KickStarter have gained media attention and then complete strangers could be ordering Following After Trek and reading our story! If we don’t get all the backing of our goal, we will not have the book printed, on KickStarter it is all or nothing.

There are so many options which you can get postcards, Following After Trek in e-book or paperback copies, t-shirts, even your name as one of the characters in the book!
